Decade Convert 2 Frameset 2011: The thinking man's fixed! Adaptability is the key with this unique frame. The clever 'Swopout' replaceable dropouts mean that you can easily and quickly swap from vertical 130mm spacing to horizontal 120mm spacing for a track hub. This is not a twitchy, super tight angled, high BB track frame, it is designed to be totally useable and will take mudguards and a rack, a triple and mech or strip it right back and run it fixed. The 7005 alloy, double butted frame has a classic look and beautiful smooth welds, the geometry is based around our ever popular Racelight T frame, but with detail changes including shorter rear stays, keeping the wheel tighter aginst the seat tube and quickening up the handling. The front centre dimension is designed to accomodate mudguards without excessive toe overlap. The Convert2 frameset builds up into the perfect all year commuter or winter trainer, and makes a great basis for a stripped down fixie with potential for 'guards and a rack. Brakes: Use short drop on the front if you are running a fixie with single brake or short drop on both ends if you will be running the bike with the vertical Swopout and gears only. Use long drop [47-57mm] if you are running two brakes on a fixie or SS, this gives enough adjustment for chain tensioning. Decade Virsa (Prestige) Frame 2011: Once again, adaptability is high on the list with this totally new and unique steel frame. The Swopout system allows an easy swap from vertical dropouts and gears to horizontal dropouts for Single Speed. As with all the DECADE frames, detailing is also at the top of the list, check the neat cable routing, front slotted seat tube, wishbone seat stays and ring reinforced headtube with wrap-around gussett. We have used top quality, tig welded and heat treated, 'Tange Prestige JPN', double butted, Cro Mo steel tubing, for its smooth, lively ride quality, durability and light weight. The geometry is designed for all day trail rides, taking in all types of terrain and is ideal for endurance events. The frame is corrected for a 100 – 130mm fork travel range and there is plenty of mud clearance for a 2.3" tyre. Apple Green, Supergloss Black.
